Rebekah Wilson is a Métis author from Markdale, Ontario. She currently lives in Gatineau, QC and works in Ottawa with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities on First Nations – Municipal Collaboration programs relating to solid waste management and economic development.
At the young age of 25, Rebekah Wilson published her first children’s book about a young girl who travels back in time in a dream to learn about her Métis history.
With generous funding from the Métis Nation of Ontario, Rebekah began the process of digging deeper into her family history and self-published The Tiny Voyageur in January of 2014 in both French and English.
Rebekah is currently in the editing stages of the second book in her series based on the significance of the Métis sash. It is expected to be released late in 2018.
